Warriors by Imagine Dragons is my chosen song for my music video with two other people. I have chosen to work on this because I was quite fond of this when it was released and believe there are many possibilities of a narrative, and concepts for a music video.
Mostly outside locations in the forest as it would fit the story best and gives the protagonist both a sense of freedom and vulnerability. There are also some inside locations to further the narrative. We have to shoot in the winter which means the lighting could be pretty dark most days, this might or might not work well depending on the mood of the video when editing.
We want to use weapons and armor for props so we can tell the difference between the fantasy and reality world in the video. The protagonist would also be wearing this to make him seem like a 'Warrior'.
The video will still be majority narrative but there could be a performance part at the beginning, to introduce the story. There could also be some lip syncing to show the artist is the protagonist and relate the visuals to the music.
Most of the roles are just filler so it doesn't require any certain skill. The main role will be the writer of the storyboard as he understands the idea of the narrative best. Though I will direct the video and operate the camera mostly so I will take liberties with the story for improvement.
we will edit the video mostly in chronological order of the story and try to emphasize certain tones of the music in the editing with certain cuts to fit the beat.
The main focus of the music video is to tell a story to our viewers and show more interest in the video by following what is happening. I want to the music to drive only the feeling of the song and the video personify that feeling in visual perspective.
