I have scheduled to have more production and post-production than pre-production because these include creating the actual product for sound for the video games. I have already done both Director's meetings to get an understanding of what the director wants from the sound of this production and has still given me enough creative control on most of the sound of the games. I might extend the actual production more and reduce post because I want to have a clear and good recording of what sounds I want to make before starting to mix it to the video.
The games I have chosen are Fallout: New Vegas, Fight Night Champion, New Super Mario Wii. The reasons I have chosen each of thee is because I have at least some experience with each of thee games, Fallout being the most, so I feel fairly confidant I can create original sound with compromising the integrity of the game quality. Fallout: New Vegas I have a lot of experience with, as I own the game, which is why this was an easy pick in its category and understand the atmosphere it wants to be for the player. The video only features a fumbly fight between misfits so I don't have to transitions music from high to low profile but because of this I have to create a lot of realistic sounds in this skirmish.
I have had experience with other Mario games and this is not that new from the ones I have played I know what t feels like between each stage of the game. The mood is very bright and happy, besides Bowser's castle and the haunted mansions, and the stages featured fit that tone of family friendly fun.
Fight Night Champion is one I have little experience with, meaning I still had experience with it, though I feel this would be better appropriate than the other options as I would have been bored by the others. The only complication I might have is timing the punches and movement of the boxers a they move incredibly fast in them game but other than that creating the sounds are pretty obvious. As well as his being the best choice for a script which could be very interesting.
The Sound of each game might will probably consist of both sourced and original Foley created sound. I do wish to make most of the sounds for all three game Foley to make it my own but will probably compromise some sounds from source as they might be too hard to create realistically. I have already decided on music for Fallout: New Vegas with some advice from the director and might create some music for Mario as that might not seem to hard and would be more original than finding royalty free music. Fight Night will not consist of any music because that would't suit the feel of the game,in my opinion, as well as it would drown out the voices of the commentators which I have already scripted for the game.
I have signed on one Talent Release form for the another commentator, because I have written for two speakers, as my only other talent in this production beside myself. As for crew I will be the Producer of all music and Foley and will be responsible for myself during production and mixing.
